2024-25 Offseason work

Projects from observations

• New mainsail cover
• Patch or replace main hatch cover
• New mast boot cover
• Major dinghy repair or replacement
• Fix crack and re-affix hardware on main cabin skylight
• Plane edges of sole boards (bilge boards/floorboards) so they don't stick and impede access to bilge
• Varnish the tiller
• Clean paddlewheel (speed sensor?)
• Download B&G data
• Messenger lines for halyards
• Attend to mast problem areas under forestay tang and at heel (Dions)

Projected work based on routine intervals

• Inspect running rigging; make replacement list
  • Consider the main halyard chafe--this will likely need replacement
• Inspect standing rigging (us or Dions?); assess lifespan
• Replace last two inflatable PFDs (2024 will be their 10th season)
• Renew mast varnish (Dions has started Nov. 2024)
• Oil and filter change on engine
• Change raw water impeller on engine
• Winterize and clean fuel/fuel tank
• Winterize and clean the head
• Launder interior fabrics
