Tasks That Must Be Done First
- Move mast from aboard to on ground (Frannie to request boatyard)
Tasks That Must Be Done Soon (Before It Freezes)
- Winterize engine (ThomS)
- Change Engine Oil and Filter
- Change Transmission Fluid
- Fog Cylinders
- Drain and flush old antifreeze from cooling system and add fresh antifreeze
- Drain salt-water from raw cooling system. and/or below
- Add antifreeze to salt-water system/exhaust pot (bio-friendly)
- Drain Freshwater tanks
- Add non-toxic antifreeze to freshwater system.
- Add non-toxic antifreeze to head/holding tank [discuss ]
- Add antifreeze/rocksalt to bilge (or get the last few inches of water out) [discuss ]
- Top up batteries' charges [discuss ]
Other Tasks That Should Be Done Soon
- Bring (borrow/buy):
- water hose (c.150-foot)
- Bring up (from Conn.) winter cover and its frame - DONE 08Nov - AmyS & ThomS
- Install Winter Cover (needs mast moved to ground first) (crew)
- Remove battens and dutchman rig from mainsail & furl neatly (mainsail is at pavilion) (crew)
- Get mainsail washed and perform any necessary maintenance (Frannie)
- - NOTE: mainsail is at Pavilion, in most-westerly bay
- Furl Genoa neatly, find a sailbag (Genoa is at pavilion) (crew)
- Get Genoa Washed washed (Frannie) [discuss ]
