This is the checklist of thing to do before getting underway.

unlock cabin, starboard lazarette, and stern lazarette. stow locks in top drawer of nav station.
remove companionway boards. stow in cabin.
make log entry. include at least the following:
- date and time
- name of each person on board
- engine hours at start
remove guppy. stow in bucket in aft lazarette.
set lower battery switch to "1" (for the starting battery, battery #3)
- (later (about 15-min) set upper battery switch to "1" or "2" (a house battery))
- (and immediately set lower battery switch OFF)
set nav-station panel 'MAIN' breaker to 'on'
check bilge for water; set nav-station panel "BILGE" DOWN to pump water out
