This page is intended as a way for sailors to quickly determine which systems on the boat are not operating normally. Please enter information about any systems that are not operating correctly on the boat, or which are operating in a non-standard way that skippers and crew should know about.
Contents
Engine
- Throttle tends to slip back, needs to be held to maintain RPMs.
- Engine seems to be burning some oil as of 04jun09 (startup exhaust is smokey)
- lower battery switch is no longer used
Electrical
12v systems
- Fathometer: flaky readings (observed 07Jul09)
- RADAR: not functional
- Wind Instruments: not connected
- Knotmeter: missing
- Autonav: non-functional and disconnected from rudder
120v systems
- New 120v system is partially installed, but all the grounding wires are note yet in place. Please do not use the shore power inlet until this is finished (see Upgrade 120v Electrical System for details)
Rig
- jib roller furler sometimes sticks if furling line does not spool smoothly
- jib roller furler will foul on spinnaker halyard if you do not rig/stow the spin halyard properly
Freshwater
- there is a small leak at the galley hot water faucet
Galley
- refrigerator: compressor is not operational
- stove: 2 front burners, oven burner work; rear top burner doesn't work
Head
Other
- at least 1 porthole leaks slightly (starboard side, second from aft)
- starboard cockpit lazarette leaks, need seal
