Difference between revisions of "Nevermore Depart Checklist"

This is the checklist of thing to do before getting underway.

Unlock cabin, starboard lazarette, and stern lazarette. Stow locks in top drawer of nav station.
Remove companionway boards. Stow in cabin.
Make log entry. Include at least the following:
- date and time
- name of each person on board
- engine hours
Remove guppy. Stow guppy in bucket in stern lazarette.
Remove binnacle compass cover. Stow cover in top drawer of nav station.
Set lower battery switch to "1" (pointer to 9 o'clock position)
Turn on the following breakers on the nav station:
- Main
- Navigation Instruments
Open yellow seacock under sink in head.
Check engine oil and coolant levels.
Check battery fluid levels.
Check holding tank level.
Check recent log entries.
Give basic safety lecture for new sailors.
